foomatic-db-engine software package provides OpenPrinting printer support - programs, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install foomatic-db-engine
foomatic-db-engine is installed in your system.
Make ensure the foomatic-db-engine package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep foomatic-db-engine *
You will get with foomatic-db-engine package name, version, architecture and description in a table
